Become a Volunteer

Thank you for your interest in volunteering with ACC! To become a volunteer, you’ll be asked to complete:

  1. Self-led online general orientation course

  2. Brief call with our Volunteer Manager

  3. Volunteer application

  4. Background check

To volunteer with ACC, you must first complete Training 1: General Orientation.

This training is an interactive self-led course on Canvas, in which you can enroll using the link below. You will learn more about ACC’s work with refugee resettlement and will be provided more info about the different volunteer opportunities available.

This course will take about 2 hours to complete, but you can go through the modules at your own pace, closing out of the course and coming back to it as many times as you need. Upon completion of the training modules, please be sure to use the link provided at the end of the course to sign up for a call with our Volunteer Manager in order to start volunteering. Lastly, you’ll be asked to submit a Volunteer Application and a background check before joining the team!

Please note that we can only accept volunteers who are located in the greater Denver Metro area. Unfortunately, we are not able to offer work sponsors or VISAs for citizens of other countries. If you are not located around the greater Denver Metro area, we will not be able to place you as a volunteer.

Interested in more specialized volunteer roles like our health navigators and First Friends program? Information about additional training for these roles will be available upon completion of the General Orientation online course linked above.
