Intern at ACC

The African Community Center is always on the lookout for new energy and support for our work and community. Interns play a key role in helping us further our mission to help refugees rebuild safe, sustainable lives in Denver through supportive networks of people, services, and community activities. Each intern brings a unique perspective and new ideas to our community, contributing their past experience, ambition and passion.

During an intern’s time with us, they will:

  • Grow as individuals, personally and professionally

  • Become stronger advocates for the community we are a part of and the individuals with whom we work

  • Build greater connections and exchanges between individuals

  • Gain new perspectives and skills through their time spent in a diverse community setting

Unfortunately, we are unable to provide compensation for interns due to funding restrictions. All internships with ACC are unpaid at this time.

How To Apply

Email a resume highlighting your education, work, and volunteer experience as well as a cover letter explaining what attracts you to ACC and our community, two to three internship roles you are most interested in and why you're a good fit for them, and the three most valuable things you believe you bring and will contribute to our community to the Community Engagement Manager at kate@acc-den.org.

The following internships are open to applicants. Please click on the title for the full internship description and details.

Please submit application materials no later than September 4 to be considered for a fall internship, which will begin between mid-August and early October.

Intern Testimonial

I worked in the Resettlement Department. My role was very important because I got to smile a lot and provided the first experience for community members, experienced new cultures, stories, and worked with a team of highly passionate staff and volunteers.
